Thanks to LUPE and other organizations, many colonia residents now feel safe with the recent installation of their solar streetlights. Neighbohoods who never had any type of streetlights no longer have to worry about the dangers of darkened roads and areas. Drivers will now be able to see children at night, which will help prevent accidents and fatalities in future.
